Technology you can trust. Innovation you can measure.
Chill IT is an Australian-owned technology, cyber security and governance partner, established in 2009 and headquartered in Sydney, delivering across NSW, Victoria, Queensland and the ACT. We work with councils, agencies and government-owned businesses that need secure, well-governed technology delivered by a supplier who understands how the public sector buys, reports and is held to account.
We operate certified ISO 9001 Quality Management and ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems, align our delivery to the ASD Essential Eight, and structure our commercial models so agencies can consume exactly the services they need, when they need them.

We understand how government buys
Most technology suppliers can describe their services. Fewer can navigate a procurement process without creating work for your team. Chill IT responds to government requirements the way government evaluates them.
Two ways to work with us
Government environments differ enormously. Some agencies have a capable internal ICT team and an incumbent provider. Others need the whole function delivered. We support both, and we are equally comfortable in either role.
| Model | What it covers |
| Do it For Me Fully managed | We take end-to-end responsibility for the technology function. • Managed IT, service desk and end-user support Best suited to agencies with no internal ICT team, or those consolidating a fragmented supplier base. |
| Do it With Me Co-delivery | We work alongside your internal ICT team, incumbent providers and third-party vendors. • Cyber security assessments and independent assurance Best suited to agencies with existing ICT capability that need strategic cyber and governance expertise, not a replacement provider. |
What we deliver for government
| Service | What it includes |
| Cyber Security & Essential Eight Uplift | Security assessments, vulnerability remediation, system hardening, Essential Eight maturity uplift and ongoing monitoring oversight — moving your agency from assessment findings to demonstrable control improvement. |
| ICT Governance & Virtual CISO | Ongoing governance, risk register management, policy and documentation, compliance tracking, vendor evaluation and board-ready reporting, without replacing your existing provider. |
| Managed IT & Service Desk | Skilled help desk support, preventative maintenance, on-site and smart hands support, and structured support plans sized to your user base and service expectations. |
| Microsoft 365, Azure & Modern Workplace | Secure modern workplace services across identity, endpoints and cloud, delivered to Australian Government security and compliance expectations. |
| Data, AI & Copilot Adoption | Governance-first adoption of Microsoft 365 Copilot, Azure, Fabric and Purview — helping agencies realise productivity gains without creating new information-security or records-management exposure. |
| Incident Response & Resilience | Disaster recovery planning and review, business continuity assessment, recovery objectives and incident response support so your agency can recover from outage or compromise. |
Cost effective, and demonstrably
Value for money is a formal evaluation criterion, not a marketing claim. We structure our commercials so your probity and finance teams can evidence it.

Where responsibility sits
An honest statement about cyber risk
Cyber security risk cannot be eliminated entirely. Our services are designed to improve visibility, prioritisation, remediation, governance and ongoing security management, and to reduce the likelihood and impact of an incident.
Chill IT is accountable for delivering the services, controls and advice set out in the relevant proposal or statement of work, and for delivering them to the standard our certifications require.
Ultimate accountability for accepting, transferring or mitigating information security risk rests with the agency, as the owner of the information, systems and statutory obligations.
We make this explicit at the outset because clear accountability is the foundation of effective governance — and because your audit committee will ask.
