The ACSC’s cyber security campaign is now well underway, warning Australians about cybercrime and promoting cyber.gov.au as the one-stop shop for individuals, businesses and organisations to protect themselves against cyber threats. The campaign will run all year round… because cybercrime never stops!
We kicked things off in late November with ransomware, followed up in December with online shopping during the holidays (because who doesn’t love a Boxing Day bargain?) and encouraged families to stay secure online doing their ‘back to school’ shopping in January.
What’s next?
This month’s theme is multi-factor authentication (MFA) – a security measure that requires two or more proofs of identity to grant you access. Using MFA provides significantly more powerful security and protection against cybercrime.
