We are posting this to inform everyone to be constantly vigilant of fake NAB emails which are trying to obtain your personal information. We cannot emphasis enough, the importance of being both aware and sceptical of emails you receive.
A recent example we have seen is an email advising that NAB is introducing new online authentication procedure for the online banking users.
The web addresses can look legitimate but with a slight, deliberate misspelling – or in this case, the link may be forged and send you to a malicious site.
The random sender email address in the brackets highlighted below is a strong indication that the email is fraudulent, and most email notifications address you by your name.
If you have any emails that you are not certain of and require extra verification, please call us on 1300 726 679 or forward the attachment and email at support@chillit.com.au
Ways to reduce the risks of being infected:
- Not to click on any links or attachments in these emails.
- Delete all odd or suspicious emails right away.
If you suspect you may have clicked on the links accidentally, please turn off your PC immediately and call Chill IT on 1300 726 679
